CHARACTER INFORMATION
Character Name: Mejojo von Garibaldi
Age: 26
Canon: Black Wolves Saga
Canon Point: The end of the Common Route
Character Information: Here is a wiki page, but since this isn't the best resource, have a writeup I did of the canon as it relates to Mejojo up to his canon point!

Personality:
If circumstances had been different, Mejojo likely would have been an excellent king. Mejojo is extremely intelligent, with a special aptitude for dealing with people and politics, and though he has quite a temper, most of the time, he's calm and rational. He's able to navigate complex political situations with ease, and he's talented at nearly any pursuits that he picks up.

However, that's simply now how things turned out.

Mejojo, after all, is seemingly a product of his circumstances, and many of his feelings are best summed up by the philosophy that he and his brother live by—The only people that Mejojo can rely on other than himself is his brother. This was a lesson that they both learned from a very early age, and having to deal with things like being at the brink of death from poison at children, it was a lesson they not only took to heart greatly, but it's one that truly shaped them and made them into the truly twisted people they are today. This mindset made Mejojo's view of people very twisted, because to him, they're little more than pawns towards an end that he desires. His brother Julian is an obstacle that must be removed, Elvira is a possession to secure his kingship, and Arles is the usurper that took his possession away. Mejojo rarely empathizes with people as people, and as such, he's extremely cruel.

It's what allows him to be as successful at his political dealings as he is, because Mejojo thinks nothing about making people suffer, and actively enjoys it if it's someone he has a personal grudge against, like Rayleigh, or even if it's something deeper, like every wolf he encounters. He'll cause people pain and suffering without a second thought, and though most of his actions have been said to be more meticulously calculated, we see in the game that this isn't always the case.

Mejojo, after all, has a very fierce, fiery temper. Underneath the veneer of calm and ease that Mejojo usually presents is a very unstable person that responds to affronts with violence. We see this multiple times throughout the story, as early as killing Elvira in his anger towards Arles, or later, as he nearly strangles Fiona for the simple fact that Arles bit her. His anger is vicious and can be deadly, though it at least takes very specific things to provoke it, which usually means something that hurts Mejojo's pride.

He's an extremely proud person, since by his measure, all of the success he's attained is by his own hands, though with Auger's help. Because he can trust no one, everything he wants is something he has to bring about himself, and he has a great pride in that. It makes him arrogant, since he has such confidence in his abilities, but that also makes him extremely vulnerable to those that dare puncture his pride. The only way he knows to lash out is with violence, and so he does so without thinking fully of the consequences, even when he's usually so composed.

But luckily, that composure is what Mejojo presents the most often. He has an aloof demeanour that's very reserved and quiet as compared to his more boisterous brother, tending to speak softly, but with confidence. He carries himself like a king in every way, seeming wise and reliable, though admittedly not immediately charming because of that aloof nature. He's not intentionally rude, though he can be a bit callous, which is more because of his arrogance and not necessarily caring that he might be hurting someone else.

His bad points far outweigh the good, but there are some good qualities in him. He is quite intelligent, even somewhat bookish, since he tends to the paperwork required of the crown prince without complaint, even seeming to prefer spending time in his study over anywhere else. On another note, we do see in the ending of some routes that Mejojo is able to heal from his emotional wounds in small ways, and if he opens up to the protagonist, he's able to become less angry and temperamental, even accepting her as someone he cares about, though it is debatable just how genuine that is. Still, it highlights the fact that Mejojo has been deeply wounded by his past and the people around him, so if he allows himself to open himself up, he's more likely to warm up to someone, though that chance is very, very rare.

The only person that has a chance of that is the person mentioned a few times throughout this application, and also the only person that Mejojo cares about, even if that care is very twisted. His twin brother Auger is the only person that Mejojo can rely on, and as such, he is someone Mejojo trusts greatly. Some routes prove that this may be a bad idea, since Auger is a bit treacherous himself, but at least on Mejojo's side, he trusts the idea that Auger will support him in his efforts to seize the throne and claim the revenge and victory he wants. Because they've gone through the same things, they rely on each other, and they're also the only people that they will tend to show any sort of emotional weakness towards. Mejojo isn't the sort of person to expression affection genuinely, of course, and because they're both deeply twisted, so is their relationship. On Mejojo's side, it's shown with acts like cutting a matching scar into Auger's face as punishment, and on Auger's side, it's borderline brocon.

Overall, Mejojo's preference for whips and chains is a rather telling summary of his character. At heart, he's a cruel person that inflicts pain on other without care, and he'll use them for his own ends. His temper is vicious, and he can be dangerously temperamental, but overall, he exerts control. Mejojo is always the one holding that whip, and he wields it very precisely. He always wants to be the one in control, and he's adept at doing so. And as such, when that whip is taken from him, when his pride is injured, it's when he lashes out the fiercest.
